Privacy Policy
Effective October 16, 2026. The PPL1 app and this website are operated by PPL1 Technologies LLC (“PPL1,” “we”). App name: PPL1.
PPL1 is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition.
Local-first health and fitness data
Core health and fitness records are designed to stay on your device, under your control. When you use those areas, that can include:
- workouts
- nutrition logs
- pantry and meal plan
- progress, including measurements and progress photos you save
- Female Performance and cycle records
- TRT records you enter
- peptide records you enter
- lab records you choose to save
- Health Connect snapshots saved in the app
- local exports you create
A record that exists only on the device is not erased by deleting a PPL1 account. Remove it with the app’s local erase tools when that build includes them, with Android Settings → Apps → PPL1 → Storage → Clear storage, or by uninstalling the app. Uninstall behavior can vary by Android version. Android system backup is disabled for the app release configuration where applicable.
Accounts and authentication
Launch uses authenticated accounts. PPL1 may process the email address and account identifiers needed to sign you in, authentication tokens or credentials handled by the sign-in provider, and account status needed to provide the service. Do not send a password to support or privacy email.
Account deletion
You can ask PPL1 to delete an account at Delete your PPL1 account. Opening that page does not submit a request and does not mean a request was received.
Deletion of account-linked server data is operator-assisted. You email support@ppl1.app or privacy@ppl1.app, PPL1 may ask you to verify that you own the account, and PPL1 then deletes the account-linked server data it holds. It is not an instant automatic wipe.
When a verified request is completed, PPL1 deletes the account and the server-side personal data linked to it, including account identifiers and server copies of photos still held from an enabled Recipe Reader or Scan Meal request. PPL1 may keep a narrow set of records when a law, tax, accounting, security, or fraud-prevention duty requires it, only for that duty and only as long as that duty lasts. Google Play keeps its own purchase records. Health Connect’s own store is separate from PPL1 and is not deleted by an account request.
Health Connect
If you connect Android Health Connect, PPL1 reads only categories you allow for features you use. Those categories can include steps, heart rate, resting heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), sleep, active calories, total calories, respiratory rate, oxygen saturation, distance, weight, body fat, and exercise sessions.
You can revoke Health Connect access in Android settings. PPL1 does not use Health Connect data for advertising. Snapshots the app saves are part of the local-first data above.
Camera, photos, and files
Camera, photo, and file access run only when you start a feature that needs them. That can include barcode scanning, a recipe photo, a meal photo, progress photos, a lab or document image you choose to save, an import, and an optional form-check or other media step when that workflow is in the build you are using.
Recipe Reader and Scan Meal
Recipe Reader and Scan Meal are part of the launch architecture. They are not advertised on this website as services that are commercially live in every build. They run only when that processing is enabled for the app build you are using.
When you submit a photo for an enabled Recipe Reader or Scan Meal request, the photo may be sent to PPL1’s backend and to the model provider PPL1 uses to perform the read you asked for. You review the result before it is saved or logged. PPL1 does not use those photos or results for advertising. PPL1 does not promise that an AI image never leaves the device.
PPL1 does not state a fixed number of days for how long a submitted photo remains on the server. A photo is kept only as needed to return the result you review and to operate and secure that request. It is not kept as an advertising archive. A result is added to your nutrition log or recipe only after you save it, and that saved record then follows the local-first or account-linked storage described above.
Location
Foreground cardio and Route Studio may use location while that feature is on screen so a route can be recorded. If you choose Follow Roads or another routing option, the path request may be sent to a maps provider to return the road-following route. This policy does not describe background location collection. Current public sources for this launch do not establish a background-location permission, so none is claimed here. Location is not used for advertising.
Open Food Facts
When you search for a food or look up a barcode, the search text or barcode may be sent to Open Food Facts (world.openfoodfacts.org) to return product information. That lookup is not bundled with your workouts, labs, peptides, cycle records, or other health history. Open Food Facts handles the request under its own terms.
Maps, ML Kit, and diagnostics
Barcode scanning may use Google ML Kit on the device. On-device barcode scanning does not, by itself, upload the camera frame to PPL1. Map display, Route Studio, and Follow Roads may use Google Maps or related Play services. Those calls can include the route or location you submitted and diagnostic data those Google SDKs send under Google’s terms, which can include technical identifiers needed to run the SDK. PPL1 uses that information to provide the feature. PPL1 does not use it to build an advertising profile and does not sell it.
Subscriptions and Google Play
If PPL1 offers a paid plan, Google Play handles payment. PPL1 does not receive your full card number or full payment credentials. PPL1 may receive entitlement and purchase status, such as the product identifier and whether the purchase is active, so the app can unlock what you bought. Deleting a PPL1 account does not cancel a Google Play subscription. Manage or cancel that subscription in Google Play.
Website, waitlist, and email
The marketing site does not create an app account. Joining the Android beta waitlist opens a Google Form. That form asks for the Google account email you use in the Play Store so PPL1 can send a beta invitation, and it may ask optional device and interest information, including Female Performance and peptides, TRT, and labs. Google processes the form submission under Google’s terms. PPL1 uses the addresses and optional details it receives to run the beta you asked to join.
Email you send to support@ppl1.app or privacy@ppl1.app is used to respond to that message, including account, privacy, and deletion requests. Email delivery to support@ppl1.app and privacy@ppl1.app has been verified.
Restaurant search
PPL1 does not operate a live restaurant-menu search. Older wording that described restaurant nutrition search as a network feature is withdrawn. Logging a meal you ate out means search, barcode review, or numbers you enter yourself.
What PPL1 does not do with this data
- PPL1 does not sell personal information.
- PPL1 does not use Health Connect data, location, or Recipe Reader / Scan Meal photos for advertising.
- PPL1 does not prescribe medication, peptides, or TRT, and it does not turn lab records into a diagnosis.
